Copenhagen's Little Mermaid decapitated

One of the most famous landmarks in Europe, the Little Mermaid in Denmark, has had its head removed by vandals.

The small copper statue, perched on a rock in Copenhagen harbour, is visited by thousands of tourists every year.

Police are seaching for two youths seen in the area in the early hours of the morning.

It's the fourth time in the past thirty years the statue has been vandalised; she had her head removed once before and an arm sawn off.
