Italian cabin crew launch strike
Passengers wait for flight during February strike
The strike in February disrupted even more flights
Strike action by Alitalia cabin crews has caused disruption to air travellers and the cancellation of dozens of flights from Rome and Milan.

The company has been forced to cancel 88 flights - including 54 domestic flights and 32 international flights.

The strike has been called by the Sult union - its third since February - which wants better pay for cabin crews.

Sult says Alitalia underestimates the effects of the 24-hour walkout but says flights at peak times would not be hit.

The union has rejected salary cuts and job losses accepted by larger unions as part of an attempt to save Alitalia from bankruptcy.

In January, the European Commission launched an investigation into whether Alitalia was receiving illegal state aid after the government provided a 400m euro ($495m; 275m) loan to the carrier.
