Beach-goers are being asked to take care when they get rid of disposable barbecues. Guernsey Fire Brigade had to put out a smouldering fire in a bin near Cobo Beach on Saturday.
A throw-away tray containing hot charcoal was dumped in it when it was still hot.
Another bin fire was also put out at Cambridge Park.
Later, the brigade was called out to a fire in the public toilets in the North Beach car park.
