Playground rides tampered with
Swings in playground
Police are trying to find the playground vandals
Security is to be stepped up at a children's playground in Guernsey amid fears vandals could be putting young lives at risk.

Children's safety was put under threat after bolts were removed from a rope walkway in the play area at Saumarez Park.

Spring-loaded rides in the playground were also tampered with.

Guernsey's police and the island's Special Constables are scaling up security arrangements in the area.

Inspector Philip Guilbert says the police are doing the best they can, but they still need help from the public to stop the vandals.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to contact the police.
