It is hoped the law revision will save staff time |
The manager of Jersey's Citizens Advice Bureau says proposed legislation making it easier to understand Jersey law will help the organisation do its job. Francis Le Gresley said the planned law revision should save his staff time.
It would also help people who were trying to find out more about how a particular law affected them.
The law revision will make it possible to publish revised copies of old laws that include all the amendments made to them.
Mr Le Gresley said it sometimes meant a lot of work to produce information leaflets because the original law and all its amendments had to be read to make sense of it.
"It will make it easier for the person that has to write the information items, so indirectly it will benefit our staff and it will benefit the people that use our service," said Mr Le Gresley.
