The gas knocked out the assailants - but also killed more than 100 hostages. ![]() Hundreds are being treated in hospitals, but relatives are being denied visits on security grounds ![]() Some hospitalised hostages were able to see their relatives from afar ![]() Many are still wondering whether loves ones are still alive ![]() President Putin showed emotion on hearing news of the operation, and later addressed the nation ![]() Many Muscovites laid flowers outside the theatre ![]() People also brought toys, as military trucks surrounded the theatre on Sunday ![]() And some lit candles to honour the hostages who lost their lives |
