More than 70 artists from around the world are behind the images of historical figures and replicas of landmarks that make up Sand World in Luebeck-Travemuende, northern Germany.

The festival is held to honour the 200th anniversary of the Travemuende seaside resort.

The Sand World exhibit runs from 12 July to 25 August
