Russian officers cleared of murder
In a high-profile case, a Russian military court has acquitted five former army officers and a businessman accused of murdering a journalist who was investigating corruption in the armed forces.

The court ruled that there was insufficient proof against them.

The journalist, Dmitry Kholodov, was killed in 1994 when he opened a booby-trapped briefcase.

The attack caused widespread shock and sparked outrage in the media.

Senior military figures, including the former Defence Minister Pavel Grachev, were among those who gave evidence at the trial.

Mr Kholodov's parents have said they will appeal against the verdict.
