More than 110 people died as the aircraft burst into flames. ![]() The SAS plane ploughed into an airport building, leaving a scene of devastation ![]() Rescue workers carried away the dead and injured ![]() Pieces of the wreckage were taken away for examination ![]() The charred remains of the cockpit could clearly be seen ![]() The blaze sent a pall of smoke rising above the airport ![]() The Milan departure board showed the doomed plane's scheduled take-off time ![]() In Copenhagen, distressed SAS workers learned of the tragedy ![]() A SAS plane almost identical to the MD-87 which crashed.
