Several hundred people protested against the extradition in Belgrade but there was joy in The Hague by Bosnians demanding he face charges over Bosnia in addition to the Kosovo indictment.

Mr Milosevic was arrested on 1 April on corruption charges

He was taken from Belgrade's central prison

His wife arrived at the prison to find him gone

His supporters took to the streets in Belgrade to protest

Bosnians at The Hague wanted the charges widened

Some wanted him executed for his alleged crimes

Mr Milosevic was transported in a Dutch police helicopter

He is expected to make his first appearance before the tribunal next week
