The Council of Europe has given its award for European Museum of the Year to the Museum Centre in Krasnoyarsk in central Siberia.
The Museum was founded eleven years ago as a branch of the central Lenin Museum in Moscow.
Since the collapse of communism, it's been remodelled to show the works of local artists and record the history of daily life in Siberia.
The Museum has kept some Lenin memorabilia on display.
It's also created an exhibition focussing on the conflicts in Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Chechnya, where Russian soldiers have fought.
Previous winners of the award include the Miro Museum in Barcelona and the National Museum in Munich.
