| Thursday, 15 February, 2001, 11:11 GMT Liverpool fan stabbed in Rome There have been clashes between football supporters in Rome ahead of tonight's UEFA Cup match between AS Roma, and the English team, Liverpool. One Liverpool supporter was stabbed during the incidents that took place in central Rome early in the morning; two others were slightly injured. About four-thousand Liverpool fans are expected in Rome for the match which is taking place under heavy security. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
