A Danish striptease dancer, who is trying to write off the cost of her breast enlargement against tax will be forced to defend her decision to officials next week.

According to the Danish newspaper, Politiken, Lia Dam�n has been summoned to the Ligningsr�det - the country's highest tax authority.

Municipal tax authorities in Vejle, where Ms Dam�n lives, accepted her claim to offset around 20,000 Danish kroner (about $25,000) against tax.

But regional customs and excise officials appealed, sending the case to the top authority.

Ms Dam�n will argue that her breast enlargement operation was a required expense for her profession, the paper writes.

She requested permission to testify at a hearing of the 19-member tax authority.

According to Politiken, in a similar case, local tax authorities in Odense refused the claim of a stripper = acolleague of Ms Dam�n - who tried to write off the cost of her silicon implants.

They did not accept that breast enlarging operations can be considered a required business expense.
