The Ground Force presenter will be found a home in the "garden party" area of the attraction, alongside Brad Pitt and Mel Gibson. A Tussaud's spokeswoman said: "He's one of the UK's top TV personalities, known and loved by Britain's 12.5 million gardeners and the public at large." Titchmarsh, who will stand by a replica of his own potting shed, has also agreed to give the garden party area a makeover. The presenter, who takes his place in the exhibition next year, is the first gardener since Percy Thrower to make it into Tussaud's. Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts team up Catherine Zeta Jones is to star alongside Julia Roberts in the comedy American Sweetheart, according to reports. The Sun newspaper says Zeta Jones, who is to marry Michael Douglas next month, will play Roberts' sister. John Cusack, Billy Crystal and Robert Downey Jnr have reportedly been signed up to star alongside the actresses. Zeta Jones will earn approximately six million pounds ($8.57m) for her part in the film, claims the tabloid. Patsy speaks of baby fears Actress Patsy Palmer has spoken for the first time about the medical condition that could have killed her and her unborn baby. Palmer told OK! magazine that she was in tears when doctors told her that the baby's life was at risk during her pregnancy. Palmer suffered vaso praevia, a complication with the blood vessels which sometime leads to doctors taking a decision to induce labour. The child was later born as planned but spent a month in a special care baby unit at the Westminster and Chelsea Hospital. Surgery for Taggart actor Taggart actor James Macpherson is to undergo a second operation after his lung collapsed. The 40-year-old actor was taken ill in London and was taken into hospital for a minor operation. Macpherson, who plays Detective Chief Inspector Mike Jardine in the series, is due to have further surgery on Friday. However, he is not regarded as being dangerously ill and is expected to leave hospital in a few days. Anne Frank film planned A feature film is to be made based on the story of Anne Frank, the Jewish girl whose diary describes hiding from the Nazis in an Amsterdam attic. Industry journal Daily Variety says the film, which is being made by Fox 2000, will use the words of Frank, who died in Bergen Belsen concentration camp at the end of World War II. Permission to use her diary has been given by her relatives. The film will be written by Alfed Uhry, who won an Oscar for Driving Miss Daisy. |
