Live & Kicking gets new look
Live & Kicking presenters
The new team: Deley, Hill, Farley and Cawood
Former Blue Peter host Katy Hill will join Sarah Cawood as part of a new team to host children's show Live & Kicking.

The BBC One show has taken a battering in the ratings from ITV rival SM:TV Live, and former presenters Emma Ledden and Steve Wilson left after the last series ended earlier this year.

Hill, 29, and Cawood, 28, are part of a team of four who will host the new show.

The others are Ortis Deley, 27, who has worked on children's BBC shows Why 5 and Short Change, and Trey Farley, 25, who comes from MTV UK's Select show.

Hill said she was "absolutely thrilled" with her new job.

"I love live television and I can't wait to get started," she added.

Cawood, who is best known for fronting The Girlie Show on Channel 4, said: "I was walking home from the gym when my agent broke the news and I burst into tears."

The new presenters all met up on Thursday after hearing they had landed the job, and are currently on a team-building exercise which will be filmed for a special programme, Live & Kicking Plays Dirty, which will be shown on 29 September.

Head of children's entertainment Chris Bellinger said: "The shape of Saturday mornings on BBC One is changing.

"7 October is going to offer something new when the series returns with a completely different look."
