| Tuesday, 5 September, 2000, 09:39 GMT 10:39 UK 'Nasty Nick' reunited with Brother rivals ![]() Nick had nothing to say to Nichola (left) and Caroline Big Brother star "Nasty Nick" Bateman was reunited with three of the housemates he plotted against at an entertainment awards ceremony on Monday. The contestant viewers loved to hate came face to face with Sada Walkington, Caroline O'Shea and Nichola Holt at the TV Quick awards. The quartet posed for the cameras, with Caroline and Nichola pretending to throttle Nick, but his only comment was: "I have nothing to say to you."
All four presented an award at the bash in London's Dorchester Hotel, with Nick booed and hissed as he walked on stage. When host Jonathan Ross asked him if that was the reception he usually got, the 32-year-old replied: "Of course." Ross did not get off lightly either, with jokes about targets like disgraced pop star Gary Glitter going down badly with the star-studded audience. Spice Girl Emma Bunton looked horrified as the TV star poked fun at bandmate Victoria Beckham's bout of meningitis. Spoof TV interviewer Ali G and Coronation Street were among the award winners, but it was the Big Brother stars who stole the show. Abuse When Caroline presented her award she said: "We know Nick is in the house and we've got this message for you. We don't care how big your bouncers are, she's (Nichola) having one and she's (Sada) having the other and you get your face kicked in." Nichola also shouted abuse from the wings when the scheming ex-City worker made his appearance on stage.
Nick was kicked off Big Brother when it was revealed he had cheated by smuggling a pen and paper into the camera-filled house. Sada and Caroline were evicted before him, with Nichola voted out shortly after his departure. Craig, Darren, Mel and Anna are the last remaining contestants of the 10 who entered the house back in July to compete for the 70,000 first prize. One of them will be evicted by the public on Friday, with the winner decided by a final vote on Friday 15 September. |
