Sinitta performed to Beyonce track Halo during the show |
Former pop star Sinitta has become the first celebrity to be voted off ITV1's Dancing on Ice. The 41-year-old found herself in the bottom two after the public vote and in the skate-off against former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies. But a mistake in her routine - the blade of her skate cut through her dance partner's trousers during a lift - cost her votes from the judges. The singer said she was "gutted" she had not given a flawless performance. After being told she was leaving the ITV1 show, Sinitta said: "I had such high hopes for this. I was starting to love it. I can hardly speak." The judges said they had to make a decision based on the skate-off. All of them - apart from new judge Emma Bunton - voted to save Davies. The first live show of the new series saw the seven female contestants compete. Former Emmerdale actress Hayley Tamaddon scored the highest with the judges for her routine, with 19.5 out of a possible 30, while Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack impressed the least, scoring just 11 points. The seven male competitors, including comedian Bobby Davro, Boyzone's Mikey Graham and GMTV's Dr Hilary Jones, will battle it out next week.
