Comedy movie The Hangover has gone straight to the top of the UK and Ireland film box office, official figures have confirmed. The movie, revolving around a drink-fuelled Las Vegas bachelor party, took £2.7m in its opening weekend. Last week's number one - Christian Bale's Terminator Salvation - fell to second place. Looking for Eric tells the story of a football mad postman, played by Steve Evets, who starts to take advice from his hero Eric Cantona in hallucinations. Cantona stars as himself in the film. Emma Thompson's latest movie, Last Chance Harvey, which also stars Dustin Hoffman, fell three places to nine. Animation Coraline, which features the voices of Teri Hatcher and Dakota Fanning, rounded off the top 10.
