Barbara Windsor wins soap honour

Actress Barbara Windsor has accepted a lifetime achievement award in tribute to her long-running career.

The actress, known for playing Peggy Mitchell in BBC One's EastEnders, thanked the soap for giving her the opportunity to re-invent herself.

Steve McFadden and Ross Kemp presented her with the honour at the British Soap Awards on Saturday night.
