Kings of Leon to head Benicassim

Kings of Leon went to number one with their album Only By The Night

Chart-toppers Kings of Leon and Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand are to headline the Benicassim music festival, organisers have announced.

Singer Paul Weller will also perform at the event, which is held on the eastern coast of Spain.

The 2008 festival, which featured Sigur Ros and The Raconteurs, attracted about 150,000 people and is a popular draw with British and Irish music fans.

This year's event is due to take place from 16-19 July.
