William Shakespeare's play has been reinterpreted by playwright Tom Stoppard, while both productions will feature Transatlantic casts including US actor Ethan Hawke. Spacey said the upcoming season was full of "really interesting productions". "I couldn't be happier that we've attracted such a terrific cast to Dancing at Lughnasa, and we finally get to welcome Sam Mendes to The Old Vic, which will be a great moment for audiences and actors alike," he added. The 24 Hour Plays Gala will also return, which sees actors and directors create six short new plays in just a day.
