Crowds of fans turned out to see Hollywood heavyweights Robert De Niro and Al Pacino at the London premiere of the thriller Righteous Kill.
Their pairing comes 13 years after the stars united briefly in the 1995 heist movie Heat, directed by Michael Mann.
The duo appeared in The Godfather II in 1974, but not in the same scene.
De Niro said he hoped to repeat his partnership with Pacino: "I wish we'd done it sooner."
Serial killer
"I hope it won't take this long for us to do another project," he added.
"I'd hope we'd do another one or two more at least, we've always had a great respect for each other."
De Niro spent about an hour on the red carpet in Leicester Square signing autographs.
Oscar winner Pacino said: "There's so much expectation it makes you think twice.
"It was Bob who got me into the movie. We've known each other a long time, we're both New Yorkers and have seen each other over the years so there was a comfort level on set.
"I hope we do another picture together, we're thinking about that down the line and I see that people want to see it and that's good to know."
The film sees the duo play New York detectives racing to uncover the identity of a serial killer they suspect might be a police officer.
