Paris Hilton was in Toronto with Adria Petty for the screening |
A documentary about US socialite Paris Hilton has had its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. Director Adria Petty followed the 27-year-old star for a year to make Paris, Not France. It shows Hilton at work on red carpets, in her business dealings, talking about her image, and relaxing at home. Petty said: "As soon as I met her, I knew within a minute that she was a cool chick, a smart girl, and hard-working." Prejudices She added that Hilton "certainly wasn't lounging on a chaise eating cherries". "I didn't really go in with too many prejudices against her, but just like everyone else I wondered what she was all about," Petty said. Hilton posed for photographs and signed autographs before attending the screening at the festival. Petty said Hilton had "created a mystery about herself that a film like this maybe wouldn't have been a great thing for her in the past". "But now, she's been so saturated in the media. We're so used to her. To see a new side of her is so exciting," she added.
