Katy Perry reached number one on downloads alone |
Katy Perry has scored a third week on top of the UK singles rundown to deny Irish band The Script a chart double. The US singer's hit I Kissed A Girl saw off the challenge of the trio's song The Man Who Can't Be Moved, which edged up one place to number two. But their debut self-titled album remained number one for a second week, ahead of Abba's Gold compilation. The only top 10 new entry was Journey To The West by Monkey - Damon Albarn's latest project - at five. Duffy's Rockferry and Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends remained steady at numbers three and four. Elsewhere in the singles chart, R&B star Rihanna's song Disturbia moved up two places to number four, while Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro scored a new entry at 10 with Mountains. Hip-hop outfit Macdon's tune Beggin' also clambers up two places to five. The Verve's Love Is Noise slipped to number seven, while Welsh band The Automatic landed inside the top 20 with their song Steve McQueen.
