TV outing for High School trailer

The first High School Musical was an international hit

Fans of High School Musical are to get a first taste of the latest film in the hugely popular series later.

The trailer for High School Musical 3: Senior Year will be shown hourly on the Disney Channel UK from 1600 to 2300BST.

The film, starring Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens, will be released in cinemas on 24 October.

The first High School Musical took the US by storm when it appeared on the Disney channel in January 2006. It went on to become a worldwide hit.

The second TV movie shattered cable TV records last summer with a premiere watched by 18.6m in the US.

Work has already begun on High School Musical 4.
