The couple's marriage hit the headlines this week after Holden, who appears in the BBC drama Hearts and Bones, was reported to have spent a weekend with Men Behaving Badly actor Neil Morrissey.
A joint statement said: "We reiterate that we still have a great love for each other but, at this time, we feel that space is needed so we are going for a trial separation." "Please, therefore, respect our privacy so that we can work through this. We are making no further comment." Dennis, 46, who hosts the Family Fortunes television quiz show, is also appearing in the West End musical Chicago. He missed a performance in recent days as he sought to patch up his marriage to Holden, 29. The couple married five years ago after meeting at a party in Bournemouth, and Dennis admitted that their 17-year age gap had worried him initially. He once said of their age difference: "I was worried, well scared, actually about the age difference. "I realise now that it's about loving each other and not whether you relate to the same kind of music." | See also: Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Entertainment stories now: Links to more Entertainment stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
