Ken Livingstone had said he was going to spend time gardening |
Former London Mayor Ken Livingstone has been given his own weekly radio phone-in show on station LBC. Mr Livingstone, who was ousted by Boris Johnson after eight years at the helm, will start presenting the show later in the summer. He said he was "absolutely delighted" to be joining the station. Mr Livingstone, 62, had earlier said he would be doing some gardening after his defeat and that he had "two months' worth of weeding" to tackle. LBC programme director Jonathan Richards said: "Ken Livingstone brings unique insight to LBC. "After eight years as Mayor of London, no-one knows this city and its people better." The London station said it would not comment on how much he was being paid.
