EastEnders has been named soap of the year at the Television Radio and Industries Club (Tric) awards at a ceremony in London. Top Gear, costume drama Cranford, Strictly Come Dancing and Life on Mars were also named as winners.
BBC Newsreader Fiona Bruce and Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles were among the personalities honoured for their work.
Coronation Street star Kym Ryder won best TV soap star, while chef Gordon Ramsay was named top TV personality.

Sports presenter Sue Barker and weather forecaster Carol Kirkwood also won plaudits, along with Sky's Eamonn Holmes who won the digital TV celebrity prize.

A special award was given to the Antiques Roadshow, which has been in production for 30 years.
The Cadbury's advert featuring a gorilla drumming to Phil Collins' In The Air Tonight won in its category.
The Tric Awards have been handed out since 2002, with the winners' lists "reading like a who's who of the entertainment industry", according to organisers.
The club was formed in 1931, with a membership which encompasses showbusiness personalities and a whole host of associated industries.
