Doherty will play the venue in April |
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty is to play his biggest solo show yet, at London's Royal Albert Hall. The former Libertines member will play a solo set at the venue - which has an official capacity of more than 5,500 - on 26 April.
Tickets for the show go on sale at 0900 GMT on Saturday.
Last November Doherty admitted to suffering a drug relapse, and pledged to seek further help in his attempts to tackle heroin addiction.
In December, fan Jamie Dell, 18, from Newcastle, sang onstage with the band at the launch of the NME Awards after Doherty was unable to take the stage.
As well as classical concerts, the Royal Albert Hall has played host to artists including The Who, Bob Dylan, Crowded House, Nick Cave and Morrissey.
