Morrissey is on his first UK tour for two years |
Singer Morrissey will not be rescheduling three London concerts he was forced to cancel after losing his voice, organisers have confirmed. The former Smiths frontman had been expected to announce new dates for three gigs at London's Roundhouse.
In a statement, promoters SJM said they and the singer had "tried strenuously to reschedule the three shows but it proved impossible".
Morrissey is on a sold-out tour of the UK - his first for two years.
It will wind up in Edinburgh on Saturday night before Morrissey heads to Paris for one last gig.
The singer was advised to rest for four days after encountering problems during his Roundhouse gig on Friday 25 January, meaning the Saturday and Sunday night concerts had to be called off.
The statement issued on 1 February apologised to fans for the "unavoidable situation".
A full refund for tickets to the cancelled gigs - including the one cut short on 25 January - will be given unless they were paid for in cash.
