Presenter death 'not suspicious'
Natasha Collins
Ms Collins had been planning to set up a production company
The death of TV host Natasha Collins, fiancee of CBBC presenter Mark Speight, is thought to be "non-suspicious at this stage", an inquest has heard.

"But clearly the cause of death is unascertained and subject to further investigation," Detective Inspector Simon Whittaker said.

Mr Speight was arrested on Thursday after finding Ms Collins dead in the couple's flat in north London.

He did not attend the hearing at Westminster Coroner's Court.

Mr Speight has been bailed until the first week of February on suspicion of murder and supplying cocaine, which he has denied.

On Monday, the Metropolitan Police said a post-mortem examination was "inconclusive" and further tests must be carried out on Ms Collins' body.

The couple met working together on the children's series See It Saw It.

Mr Speight is best known for the CBBC programme SMart, which he has hosted since 1995.

A spokeswoman for Mr Speight said on Friday: "He is assisting police with their enquiries and had nothing to do with Natasha's death."
