Moore resumes spying mission
Roger Moore
The way he was: Roger Moore as James Bond
James Bond star Roger Moore is to resume his role as a British spy - 15 years after retiring as 007.

The 72-year-old actor is lining up alongside Patsy Kensit and Tom Conti in a thriller about biological warfare.

Moore, who made a cameo appearance in the Spice Girls movie in 1998, has spent most of the last few years concentrating on his role as a Unicef ambassador.

Honoured: Roger Moore is relishing his new role

But he is relishing the opportunity to return to the big screen in The Enemy.

Moore told the Express newspaper: "I need to make another film occasionally, otherwise people say 'he must be retired'."

The film is based on the novel by Desmond Bagley and Moore admitted he liked the script.

"I play another spy - typecasting I suppose," he joked.

No antics

"I really don't think there will be any more James Bond antics, though. These days I'm more likely to be dozing off in my trailer - I leave all that to the younger ones."

Shady: Patsy Kensit to play a CIA agent

Moore played the role of James Bond for 12 years, making his debut in Live And Let Die.

He finally bowed out in 1985's A View To A Kill, handing his Licence To Kill over to Timothy Dalton, before Pierce Brosnan made the role his own.

In Moore's latest film, Kensit, the wife of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, plays a CIA agent. It also stars former Beverly Hills 90210 heart-throb Luke Perry.
