 The fifth Potter movie has picked up the most nominations |
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is leading the nominations at the Bafta Children's Awards. The fifth film in the Potter series has been nominated for best feature film and the Bafta Kids' Vote gong, which is the only public award in the ceremony.
The video game based on the movie has also earned a nomination in the first ever video game category at the event.
Television presenter Keith Chegwin will host the ceremony on 25 November at London's Hilton Hotel.
'Talent and expertise
Animation movies Happy Feet and Flushed Away and fantasy adventure Bridge to Terabithia, have also been nominated in the best movie.
For the second year running Tricky TV's Stephen Mulhern has been nominated in the presenter category alongside six-time nominee Neil Buchanan of Art Attack.
BBC serial Byker Grove, which is set in a youth club in Newcastle, and Jackanory - The Magician of Samarkand, both feature in the best drama category.
Jocelyn Stevenson, chairwoman of the academy's children's committee, said: "These nominations highlight the enormous amount of talent and expertise we have in the UK in children's media, and what it is we must fight to protect."
Last year Wallace and Gromit, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit won best film and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire won the Bafta Kids' Vote.
