Harrison Ford will return as Indiana Jones in the fourth film. |
The producers of the new Indiana Jones film have settled a legal case against an actor who was accused of revealing the plot in a newspaper interview. A court order claimed Tyler Nelson had knowingly violated the confidentiality agreement he signed after being cast in The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
A spokeswoman for the film said the agreement was to "protect the movie's thrills and surprises for audiences".
Nelson was unavailable for comment, and settlement details were not disclosed.
'Stolen property'
The fourth instalment of the adventure series, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was directed by Steven Spielberg and stars Harrison Ford.
According to the industry magazine, Variety, Tyler gave an interview to his local newspaper, Oklahoma's Edmond Sun, about what happened in the movie.
That story has been removed from the newspaper's website.
Spielberg's spokesman has said he does not know if Nelson's scenes will be cut from the film.
Meanwhile, according to reports, computers and photographs related to the production of the movie have been stolen.
Speaking to The Los Angeles Times, Spielberg's spokesman said the director was worried the materials might be sold.
"We want to warn the media that anything that is offered is stolen property," Marvin Levy said.
"We know it is out there."
Cate Blanchett and Shia LaBeouf star alongside Ford in the movie, which is set to be released in May.
