Bestival, the last of the summer's major UK music festivals, has drawn to a close on the Isle of Wight. More than 30,000 people watched acts including the Chemical Brothers, Primal Scream, the Beastie Boys and The Gossip perform on the island.
Curated by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank, the three-day event, with 14 tents and arenas, is now in its fourth year.
Many festivalgoers arrived in fancy dress, with wizards, pirates and men in chicken outfits dotted among the crowd.
Billy Bragg, Calvin Harris and Horace Andy were also on the bill at this eclectic event, along with recent UK chart-topper Robyn, the Go! Team and The Orb.
The start of the weekend was marked by a charity fundraising swim across the Solent, and there was also a moustache-growing competition plus an inflatable church on the festival site.

Some smaller music festivals are still scheduled for the coming weeks. The End of the Road event, from Friday until Sunday, will feature the Super Furry Animals, Midlake and Lambchop, at Larmer Tree Gardens near Salisbury.
And the re-scheduled Truck Festival takes place on 22 and 23 September at Steventon, near Abingdon in Oxfordshire.
This was postponed in July because the festival site was flooded.
