Further down the album chart, Roots and Echoes - the fifth release by Liverpudlian group The Coral - enters at eight.

There is little movement in the rest of the top 20, however.

But hotly-tipped London five-piece Ben's Brother climb 78 places to number 24 with their debut album Beta Male Fairytales.

And Wait for Me by the Pigeon Detectives, a Leeds group who have played at the Underage Festival in London this week, rose from 50 to 34.

On the singles chart, rapper and hip-hop star Kanye West has a new entry at number three, Stronger.

Chicago rockers The Plain White Ts climb four places to six with Hey There Delilah.

Again, there is not much change further down the top 20.

But Elliot Minor, a rock group from York, go in at 19 with their song Jessica.

On the Verge of Something Wonderful by former Savage Garden star Darren Hayes enters at 20.
