Hollywood has rolled out the red carpet with an official party to welcome David and Victoria Beckham to Los Angeles. Actors Tom Cruise and Will Smith were co-hosts for the glitzy invitation-only bash at the Museum of Contemporary Art's Geffen Contemporary gallery.
Director Ron Howard, actress Brooke Shields and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria were among the guests.
David Beckham made his US football debut for LA Galaxy in a friendly against Chelsea on Saturday.
Guest list
Wesley Snipes and Quincy Jones came to welcome the football star, as did Bruce Willis, Demi Moore and husband Ashton Kutcher.
American Idol creator Simon Fuller, who managed the Spice Girls and launched Victoria Beckham to fame, also attended the party.
Other names on the guest list included George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg.
The Beckhams arrived with Cruise, accompanied by wife Katie Holmes, and Smith, with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Cruise flew in for the party from Germany, where he is shooting his latest film, Valkyrie.
