Ellen DeGeneres won best talk show host for a third year |
Presenter Ellen DeGeneres kept up her award-winning run by collecting her third consecutive Daytime Emmy for best talk show host. The best soap award was split for the first time in Emmy history - as Guiding Light and the Young and the Restless shared the trophy.
Bob Barker was given the award for best gameshow host, having just retired from The Price is Right after 35 years.
The awards were handed out at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

As DeGeneres collected her prize, she praised outspoken presenter Rosie O'Donnell, who recently left The View chat show after a turbulent time in which she fell out with fellow presenters.
"I liked what she did. This was the year she should have won. I wanted to acknowledge Rosie because she has done a lot," said DeGeneres.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show also won the best talk show category for the fourth time.
The best dramatic actress award went to Maura West of As the World Turns, while the actor prize was given to Christian Jules LeBlanc of The Young and the Restless.
Emmy judges could not decide on an outright winner for the best performer in a children's series, instead splitting it between Sesame Street's Caroll Spinney and Kevin Clash, who play Oscar the Grouch and Elmo.
