The 38-year-old has been photographed in Chile with Alexander Dahm, a movie producer, whose wife is pregnant.

In a statement she said: "I have never been unfaithful to a partner and would find it completely immoral to be involved with a married man."

Minogue's spokesman Murray Chalmers said the singer was "shocked" by the reports and had found them "offensive."

Since joining film producer Dahm in South America a week ago, the pair have been photographed enjoying a boat trip together and having a relaxed lunch in a restaurant.

The spokesman said that Minogue had taken a short break from recording her new album and was meeting Dahm to discuss possible future projects.

The pair met when Dahm worked on Minogue's photo-shoot for her new bikini range for H&M.
