Spider-Man is to return to US cinema screens at the end of April with the premiere of the third movie at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York. Spider-Man 3 will make its US debut on 30 April at the UA Kaufman Astoria cinema in Queens - the home borough of Spider-Man's alter ego Peter Parker.
A marching band will lead stars such as Tobey Maguire down a black carpet.
The world premiere takes place in Tokyo on 16 April and the film opens to the public around the globe from 1-4 May.
The US gala screening will be the climax of a series of eight premieres around the world, including one in London on 23 April.

New York will host a Spider-Man week in honour of the comic book character, including catch-up screenings, themed exhibitions and a Spider-Man rap contest. "Bringing exciting and new events to NYC and its community is one of the major goals of the festival," the event's co-founder Jane Rosenthal said.
"Hosting the US premiere in Queens and celebrating the release throughout the festival will give us the opportunity to reach out to a new community, as well as to the devoted fan-base of the Spider-Man series."
The festival, which runs from 26 April-7 May, was set up by Robert De Niro and Ms Rosenthal after the 11 September attacks to help revitalise lower Manhattan.
