Dancing on Ice is broadcast on Saturday evenings
ITV's Dancing on Ice is going ahead on Saturday as planned, after auditors found the show's telephone voting procedures were fair.

The investigation followed a decision made by ITV to suspend all its premium rate votes and phone-ins.

It came after claims that shows which used such lines were conning viewers.

"Viewers will be able to vote as normal for their favourite celebrities in Saturday's semi-final," said ITV director of television Simon Shaps.

Premium-rate phone line regulator Icstis is investigating other programmes, and has recently met broadcasters about claims that callers did not get a fair chance of winning.

It has already announced that firms which provide premium rate phone-in services will need to be licensed in future.

Brainteaser audit

Five has suspended various quiz shows that use premium rate services after an audit showed winners had been faked on its daily Brainteaser show.

On one occasion a member of the production crew went on air posing as a "winning contestant".

Separate investigations are also being held into Channel 4's Richard and Judy and ITV1's Saturday Night Takeaway.

The BBC's Saturday Kitchen is also being examined after viewers were asked to phone in to appear on the following week's programme, despite it being filmed just minutes after the live show.
