Oscar-winner Martin Scorsese will work with Mark Wahlberg, a star of his film The Departed, on a TV drama about the resort of Atlantic City, reports say. The series is being developed for HBO, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
It said that a book on the city by Nelson Johnson had been optioned and could be used as part of the plot.
The resort, in New Jersey, is known as a centre for entertainment and gambling. It featured in an earlier Scorsese film, The Color of Money.
The Departed was named best film at last month's Academy Awards.
Scorsese received the Oscar for best director and Wahlberg was nominated in the supporting actor category.
