Katona divorced Westlife star Brian McFadden last year

The couple, whose wedding banns were posted in Gretna Green two weeks ago, are understood to have exchanged vows in the town's Mill Hotel on Wednesday.

Five security men remained in the grounds of the hotel throughout the evening, but guests were tight-lipped.

Katona, 26, and Croft, 35, were engaged in January last year. The couple are expecting a baby girl in April.

Their low-key union was in stark contrast to Katona's first wedding to Westlife star Brian McFadden.

They married in County Meath in Ireland with a reception for 200 guests held at nearby Slane Castle, reputedly costing �400,000.

Katona split from McFadden soon after she won the third series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2004.

Their divorce was finalised towards the end of last year.

Paparazzi were camped outside the Mill Hotel for Katona's second wedding, but the star has reportedly sold photos of the ceremony to a celebrity magazine.

Guests arrived in a blacked-out people-carrier and security guards held up umbrellas to stop the waiting photographers catching a glimpse of the couple.
