Lisa Marie to marry again

Divorced: Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley

Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie Presley is to remarry, four years after her divorce from pop superstar Michael Jackson.

The 31-year-old aspiring singer is engaged to up-and-coming musician John Oszajca, according to her publicist Paul Bloch.

Bloch said Presley and Hawaian-born Oszajca met through mutual friends in Los Angeles last year and got engaged on 23 December.

Will this be third time lucky for Lisa Marie?
He said Oszajca followed tradition by asking Lisa Marie's mother Priscilla Presley, for her daughter's hand in marriage.

"Priscilla said yes" said Bloch. "That day, John went to Lisa Marie and asked her to marry him, and she said yes. He then presented her with an engagement ring."

Bloch added that no date had been set for the wedding.

Although six years Presley's junior, Oszajca's music career is rather more advanced than hers.

His debut solo album is due for release in April and his recent singles include Back in 1999, which was included on the soundtrack to the film comedy Mystery Men.

Meanwhile Presley signed a recording contract with Java Records in 1998 and is currently working on her first album.

Secret marriage

Presley, who has two children from her first marriage to musician Danny Keough, married Michael Jackson on 26 May, 1994 in a secret ceremony.

Their union did not become public until later that summer and was initially regarded as a hoax.

Presley filed for divorce in January 1996, just 20 months after the start of the marriage, citing irreconcilable differences.

News of Presley's third engagement, which first surfaced on US entertainment show Access Hollywood, follows recent reports that Jackson and his second wife Debbie Rowe have agreed to divorce.
