Musical celebrities turned out in force to support Sir Elton John at the London premiere of his new film.

Pop stars Geri Halliwell and Sting were among those out to see gender-swap comedy It's A Boy Girl Thing.

The X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, who has a role in the film, brought along daughter Kelly, saying husband Ozzy "has had enough of me right now".

Sir Elton also told reporters he had discussed a compere role at next year's Concert for Diana with the princes.

He said: "They said there might be a role for me doing the MC bit by linking it all together, which I don't mind doing.

"The princes will choose all the acts and if I can help co-ordinate it, I will."

Also attending were fashion duo Trinny and Susannah, presenter Graham Norton and singer Jamelia.

The Leicester Square premiere was held to support Sir Elton's Aids foundation.
