Kate Beckinsale and Adam Sandler's romantic comedy Click has topped the UK and Ireland box office chart, taking �1.79m over the weekend. Sandler plays an overworked architect who finds he can fast-forward and rewind his life. Baywatch actor David Hasselhoff stars as his boss.
Animated Little Red Riding Hood tale Hoodwinked is second, taking �1.76m.
Oliver Stone's World Trade Center came third, taking �1.66m on its first weekend in British cinemas.
Hoodwinked's figures include �405,165 from preview screenings in the week leading up to Friday's opening.
Last week's leading film, Children of Men, dropped to number four in the Screen International chart, taking �957,119.
The Queen, starring Helen Mirren, fell from number two to number five, with receipts of �803,372.
Urban music movie Life & Lyrics - about a south London DJ battling with his rivals from the north of the capital - made its debut at number 12 in the chart.
