Ecce Cor Meum means Behold My Heart in Latin |
Sir Paul McCartney's fourth classical album, which has been eight years in the making, will have its live premiere at the Royal Albert Hall on 4 November. Ecce Cor Meum, an oratorio in four movements, was recorded earlier this year at Abbey Road Studios in London.
Sir Paul's latest work was commissioned by Magdalen College, Oxford, in honour of the college's new music hall.
The Ecce Cor Meum album, which contains both English and Latin lyrics, is released on 25 September.
A working version of the oratorio was performed by the Magdalen College choir in Oxford in 2001.
The performers at the Royal Albert Hall will be the same group of musicians who made the album.
Sir Paul's first classical album, The Liverpool Oratorio, was released in 1991.
