The 21st official Bond film, starring Daniel Craig as 007, will receive its world premiere on 14 November at the Odeon Leicester Square in London.

All funds will go to the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund (CTBF).

Casino Royale - based on the first of Ian Fleming's celebrated spy novels - will be released on 17 November in the UK and the US.

Die Another Day, the 20th Bond film, was also chosen for the Royal Film Performance in November 2002.

The first Royal Film Performance took place in 1946 and has been held every year since, apart from 1958.

The first film chosen was A Matter of Life and Death, starring David Niven.

"It is tremendous that Casino Royale, the most anticipated film of the year, has been chosen as this year's film," said Stan Fishman, CTBF President.

It is not yet known which members of the Royal Family will attend the screening.
