Kylie Minogue is due to go on tour in Australia in November |
Kylie Minogue has admitted she has "a mountain to climb" and still lacks strength and energy after surgery for breast cancer more than a year ago. The singer said her decision to discuss her diagnosis publicly had led to other people coming forward for check-ups.
The 38-year-old completed chemotherapy in December but her treatment continues as she tries to make a full recovery.
She told Sky One she had to "get on that walking machine" to build up her stamina and "start from the beginning".
She is due to resume her Showgirl tour in Australia in November.

"I don't have strength, I don't have stamina, I don't have everything that I took for granted before," she told interviewer Cat Deeley. "So really I've got a mountain to climb, but I don't fancy hanging around at the bottom of the mountain."
While recuperating in Australia, her surgeon told her he had been treating more young women for cancer, she said.
She suggested this was the result of her diagnosis and said she hoped "lives were potentially saved just by becoming more aware" of the disease.
Minogue also said her treatment had given her "a much deeper understanding of what it is to have a trial to go through".
She had made friends whom she would "cherish forever" in the process, she added.
The full interview will be broadcast on Sky One at 2100 BST on Sunday.
