The third movie in the Fast and the Furious series has raced to the top of the UK and Ireland box office chart. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift made �1.8m over the weekend, more than twice the takings of its nearest competitor, X-Men: The Last Stand.
Horror remake The Omen, last week's top earner, fell to three, while drama Hard Candy made its debut at four.
The only other new entry in the top 10 was satirical comedy Thank You For Smoking, sneaking into 10th place.
